Rachael Melanson is a sound and visual artist, her Rosen project focuses on channeling sonic environments and non-linear narratives through computer synthesis. Works have been presented via pOrtals and Quantum Natives. With recent shows at the likes of New Forms Festival (Canada), TARP Audio Visual Poetry Festival (Lithuania), The Audio Foundation and The Physics Room (New Zealand), VOIDOID Archive and the ICA (UK).
Is an artist addressing modes of reading, speaking and writing, with a focus on when these actions run into difficulty. Audio has been documented on Chocolate Monk, and with Bridget Hayden (Vibracathedral Orchestra) in 2015 on Fort Evil Fruit. Claire recently completed the Polyphonic residency at the Wysing Arts Centre, and their latest book, Round that way, was published by Ma Bibliotheque, London.
Is a solo musician making simple, eerie and fragile dark folk. At times reminiscent of Marrisa Nadler or Sibylle Baier - with haunting vocals and elegant guitar she makes music that, despite its minimal and often quiet content reaches heights of mesmerising volume.
